'Bilo'

Bilo are common ceremonial vessels used to serve Yagona or Kava from a 6 legged ceremonial bowl called a Tanoa. Made from the shell of a husked coconut they come in two sizes- small and large- The small cups are generally polished and measure about 4" across while the larger bilo are unpolished and are about 6" in diametre.
