Fijian Warclubs

Fijian warfare was a brutal and often long affair- the largest singular battle in the Fiji islands had 15,000 warriors on the field at the same time. The Sali had two uses in battle: it's broad head and blade could be used to club the victim to death first, or the club's crooked head could be used to snap the victims neck with a twist of the shaft. Tavatava were used as throwing clubs while the rest of the wepons were used to blugeon and maim.

Weapons were a significant part of indigenous art in Fijian society.
