| A yagona or kava dish. These were used by Temple Priests to drink yagona- a sacred drink. The yagona dish could not be touched so the Priest had to lie prostrate before the dish and drink it up through a straw. Carved in the form of a wild duck, this is one of the few examples of the use of animal forms in Fijian art.
